True Salvation

Introduction:

Easy few steps to win God's Mercy, Grace and Heavens, that through Surrender and Submission to the Creator, Secondly followed by Acknowledging the Six Fundamentals of Faith (Heart), and 5 Pillars of Religion (Action).

Six Fundamentals of Faith are Following

Belief in One God;

Belief in the angels;

Belief in the revealed books;

Belief in the commissioned Messengers (peace be upon them).

Belief in the resurrection and the events of Judgment Day.

Belief in the predestination by Allah of all things, both the (seemingly) good and the (seemingly) bad.

THE 5 PILLARS OF ISLAM (Religion)

1. To testify that there is no true God but Allah and that Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) is His last Messenger and the seal (last) of prophets.
2. To perform prayers (5 times a day)
3. To pay zakat (Charity-poor due once a year).
4. To fast during the month of Ramadhan.
5. To perform hajj (Pilgrimage - Once in a lifetime, if one
capable).

  Salvation in Islam

Islam describes a true believer to have Love and Fear of God. Islam teaches that every person is responsible for their own sins. The Quran states;

If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts.   Qur'an, sura 39 (Az-Zumar), ayat 7

Salvation obtained by both to have faith in God as one of fundamental of Faith, and associated with Good deeds, called Pillars of Religion as recommended by the creator.

Sin in Islam is an important term in Islamic ethics. Muslims see sin as anything that goes against the commands of Allah (God), a breach of the laws and norms laid down by religion. Islam teaches that sin is an act and not a state of being. It is believed that Allah weighs an individual’s good deeds and against his or her sins on the Day of Judgement and punishes those individuals whose evil deeds outweigh their good deeds, the actual counter starting at the age of puberty,  These individuals are thought to be sentenced to afterlife in the fires of jahannam (Hell).

Because of the freewill that Human possess as a result of Logic and reasoning capabilities Mankind are fully accountable of their deeds, Animal are not.

The Quran describes these sins throughout the text and demonstrates that some sins are more punishable than others. A clear distinction is made between major and minor sins (53:31-32), indicating that if an individual stays away from the major sins, then he/she will be forgiven of the minor sins. Regardless, Islam teaches that God is merciful and individuals can be forgiven of their sins if they repent.

The Quran describes these sins throughout the text and demonstrates that some sins.

Some of the major or al-Kaba'ir sins in Islam are as follows:

1.      Shirk (associating anything with Allah), Such as Trinity, worshiping Idols, Pagan.

2.      Despair of Allah's mercy

3.      Teasing parents

4.      Zina, Adultery, Sex without marriage, or with Married man/woman

5.      Sodomy

6.      Theft

7.      Drinking Alcoholic beverage

8.      Gambling

9.      Backbiting (talking about a person who is not there)

10.  Leaving the prayer

11.  Zakat evasion

12.  Witchcraft

13.  Killing one whom Allah has declared inviolate without a just case

14.  Consuming the property of an orphan

15.  Devouring usury

16.  Turning back when the army advances

17.  False accusation of chaste women who are believers but indiscreet

As a result of this view of redemption, Muslims have attacked alternative views on redemption, especially the Christian notion of Original Sin.

Man and Woman are treated equality when it comes to Salvation.

The followers of original scriptures of Prophet Moses and Prophet Jesus are considered as true believers in Islam.

Sincere intentions to submit and surrender to one God i.e. Islam, is a way of Salvation.

The Qur’an challenges people to make sure of their future salvation by repentance and obeying God now before death.

The Power of Intention

Sincerity of intention (ikhlāṣ) is one of the most fundamental aspects of Islamic faith.
We always have the choice to either submit to God, the Lord of Majesty and Generosity, the Innovative Creator, the Self-sufficient, the One Who grants and takes lives, or to succumb to our own desires, lust, and allow evil to take over our lives.
Having sincere intention and purpose is the key to salvation and eternal life in Heaven for true believers. Without sincere intention, one does deeds seeking other than God’s pleasure and His reward in the hereafter, and thus acts as a hypocrite (munāfiq). Fame, material, status, social gains, showing off, and religious ostentation are perfect examples of intentions driven by worldly interest. Such intentions take one away from the straight path and are not compatible with the ikhlāṣ of the true believer.

ʿUmar Ibn al-Khaṭṭab (a close Companion of the Prophet Muḥammad) is reported to have said:
“I heard God's Apostle saying, ‘Deeds are rewarded according to their intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what one had intended. Whoever travels abroad for worldly gains or to marry a woman, his emigration will be rewarded according to that (intention) which he emigrated for’ ”.
Now the questions arises: “does this apply to someone who commits evil acts with good intentions?” Of course not. Only deeds that are performed with sincere intention and within the boundaries of what God made permissible are accepted. To further illustrate and put things in context, following are examples of what qualifies as ikhlāṣ and what does not:
Deeds done with ikhlās
Deeds done without ikhlās
Seeking God’s pleasure by legally earning money to help the poor and sustain one’s dependants.
Your commitments and responsibilities towards your family members, neighbours, friends, and co-citizens need to be based upon fulfilling your divine ordained roles and responsibilities.
Stealing money to give to the poor. The intention is good, but the act is immoral/forbidden (harām).
Doing good deeds for personal satisfaction and favour, rather than for the purpose of seeking closeness to God.
In short, one has to turn and surrender all one’s thoughts and deeds towards God.

Know Your Enemy (Satan or Devil)

Lack of knolwdge on who is your enemy, leads to arrogance surpassed only by Human Ignorance...

The wise person is he who studies his enemies’ strategies and takes the precautions and measures to defeat them. Your Lord has warned, “Indeed Satan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy…” Qur’an 35:6..

The battle against Satan can only be won if we are aware of his traps, and if we apply the strategies to defeat him. On the Day of Judgement, Satan will confess to his sins and mischief. He will declare before all of creation that Allah is the One who tells the truth and that he (Satan) is a liar.
We ask Allah the Almighty, by His most beautiful Names and sublime Attributes, to forgive our sins and grant us refuge from the traps of Satan

Revert story

I'm 35 years old, originally from Latvia. I reverted to Islam in 2010. My generation was raised to a certain extent in the Soviet Union. It was a system with its own ideology, in which religion was marginalized. People were discouraged from taking part in any kind of religious services. We were raised in a very rational environment with emphasis on scientific knowledge and materialistic approach to the world. After school I went to University and studied molecular biology. This science provides great insight in how life works, how amazing and complicated every single cell is. In that time I was an atheist and seen myself as thinking machine which came into being by chance and will turn to dust when the time will come for it.
In 2006, I met a woman who I fell in love with and I proposed to her. She told me that she will marry me with one condition as she was Catholic. She said, "The only way I'm going to marry is in church". And I said, "I love you, I will do it for you". It was a bit complicated to become a Catholic, but it gave me a new perspective on the world. I went to catholic school and got baptized to be able to get married in church. In class was introduced to the idea of Creator of the universe as well as idea that our life has meaning beyond what is on earth. For me it was a new perspective, different from the one I had before. However at that time I didn't give too much thought to it.
We got married and soon moved to work in Kenya. But my wife became quite seriously sick with malaria. This is when I started to pray, not like a Catholic but I started to ask someone, something, to make her live and to make us go on. Thank God, she got well. This was the first time I really prayed.
After she got well we were going on holidays to Latin America and we had to change flights in Istanbul. On the plane, I got a severe eye infection, conjunctivitis. In two hours I couldn't see anything. In the middle of a flight, it's a bit scary.
We had to disembark in Istanbul and go to the doctor. I was given eye drops but they didn't work, so I went to sleep scared if I will ever be able to see again. I woke up in the early morning and heard something nice, which was the call to prayer. My antibiotics had worked, my eyes were clear. That sense of relief and beauty of adhan turned my interest to Islam. I did a bit of research into all the religions, because I had a whole new perspective for seeing things. During this time, Islam was the message which seemed to me without internal  conflict.
Soon I was reading the Quran, started praying 5 times a day and said my shahada shortly before Ramadhan in 2011.
You have to conform to certain standards. In Islam, it's said that the only purpose of humans is to worship God. At first one may think that worshiping God is praying five times a day. But actually, worshiping doesn't mean only praying – it means being a good custodian of the planet, being good to others, doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong. For example recycling, buying local or fair trade food can be a way of worship because you are doing the right thing taking good care of environment which Allah created.
I consider my time since reverting to Islam as time in search for knowledge and a search for the way. It's Islam that brought me out of Africa and I'm still on the way. I had to give up my job in IVF Clinic in Kenya as it involved doing forbidden things, so we moved to Somalia and later to Ireland. We traveled to Oman in 2014 and met lots of wonderful people there whom we are still in contact with and who gave us advice and guidance to continue the way to light.
