  Salvation in Islam

Islam describes a true believer to have Love and Fear of God. Islam teaches that every person is responsible for their own sins. The Quran states;

If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts.   Qur'an, sura 39 (Az-Zumar), ayat 7

It is believed that Allah weighs an individual’s good deeds and against his or her sins on the Day of Judgement and punishes those individuals whose evil deeds outweigh their good deeds, the actual counter starting at the age of puberty,  These individuals are thought to be sentenced to afterlife in the fires of jahannam (Hell).

Because of the freewill that Human possess as a result of Logic and reasoning capabilities Mankind are fully accountable of their deeds, Animal are not.

The Quran describes these sins throughout the text and demonstrates that some sins are more punishable than others. A clear distinction is made between major and minor sins (53:31-32), indicating that if an individual stays away from the major sins, then he/she will be forgiven of the minor sins. Regardless, Islam teaches that God is merciful and individuals can be forgiven of their sins if they repent.

The Quran describes these sins throughout the text and demonstrates that some sins.
